The current Board of the Office of Tobacco Control was appointed by the Minister for Health and Children, Mary Harney TD, in April 2008. The Board consists of ten members drawn from a variety of backgrounds including health and medicine, academia, health service management and the youth sector. The Chair of the Board is Norma Cronin who is a Health Promotion Manager with the Irish Cancer Society.
